A Cool Day in the Life: Keeping Homes Comfortable with ATS Mechanical

Rise and Shine: The Day Begins

As the sun peeks through the blinds, I stretch and prepare for another day as an HVAC technician at ATS Mechanical. After a quick breakfast, I hop into my service van, ready to tackle the day’s challenges in residential and commercial air conditioning.

Morning: Residential Service Call

My first stop is a residential home where the homeowner reported their AC unit isn’t cooling properly. Upon arrival, I:

  • Greet the homeowner and listen to their concerns
  • Inspect the outdoor condenser unit
  • Check refrigerant levels and air filter
  • Clean the evaporator coil

After diagnosing and fixing a minor refrigerant leak, the system is back up and running efficiently. The homeowner is thrilled to have cool air flowing again!

Midday: Team Meeting and Lunch

I head back to the ATS Mechanical office for our weekly team meeting. We discuss upcoming projects, share tips, and review safety protocols. After the meeting, I enjoy a quick lunch with my colleagues before heading out to the afternoon job.

Afternoon: Commercial Installation

The rest of my day is dedicated to a large-scale commercial AC installation at a new office building. Working with a team of fellow technicians, we:

  • Install ductwork throughout the building
  • Mount indoor air handlers
  • Set up the outdoor condensing units
  • Begin the process of connecting and testing the system

It’s challenging work, but seeing the progress we make is incredibly satisfying.

Evening: Wrapping Up and Looking Ahead

As the workday comes to a close, I ensure all tools are accounted for and the job site is clean. Back at home, I take a moment to review tomorrow’s schedule and prepare for another day of keeping our community comfortable.

Working at ATS Mechanical is more than just a job – it’s about making a tangible difference in people’s lives by ensuring their homes and workplaces are cool and comfortable. Every day brings new challenges and opportunities to learn, and I wouldn’t have it any other way!
